About the Oil Spill
Americans who ride transit are part of the solution. Riding transit saved America 4.2 BILLION gallons of oil last year. That's the equivalent to 400 Exxon Valdez spills and is about THIRTY TIMES the total amount spilled in the Gulf through June.
If you want to be part of the solution, try riding public transportation if even for only one or two days a week. Your decision to ride transit benefits the environment, helps your health and quality of life, and saves you a ton of money. Check out FPTA fact sheets on transit benefits.
