Top “Tell Your Story” Entries All Entries / Bruce, a Medical Student, Enjoys the Stress Free Travelling of Public Transit
I recently relocated to Kendall, Florida and enrolled full-time as a Medical Assistant Student. I had to be to school on time and early, and the transit system did just that for me and more. I every morning would wake up at around 6am to catch the 272 bus heading west bound, I would then jump on the 71 heading north to Florida Career College across from FIU South Campus. My morning was stress free, and allowed me to study for many test that I had on a weekly basis. I also made the return trip using the 71 heading south, and then the 72A heading east. I would use this time to do my homework, and met some very nice people on my way. I have to say that I do not think that I could have graduated with a 4.0 GPA (High Honors) if I drove to and from school, the gas money, and the stress of it all. I am now a Certified Medical Assistant and ride the bus almost everyday. I thank Miami-Dade County Transit for this convenient, easy to use, and most important stress-free trip way of traveling. I wish more people would realize how user friendly the transit system is and give it a try. |
