Top “Tell Your Story” Entries All Entries / George Takes a Series of Stunning Photos Illustrating His Transit Ride Its 5:45 a.m. when I get up with the sun. By 7 I am on the 204 east bound bus heading to the dadeland north station. I sit there on the bus blankly staring out into space as each passenger boards the bus. Each person carries a brief case that holds their stories, I just carry my backpack. This backpack contains the present and my future. The ride to the metro station gives me time to review the functions of the flexor digitorum profundus for my anatomy class as well as preparing for my other classes. I then take the north bound metro train to University and within about 30 minutes from leaving my house, I am in my territory…UM. Sure I have my Honda Accord, but I choose to take Miami’s transit. Not only am I saving gas and time, but I am arriving to school calm since I didn’t have to worry about traffic or people carelessly changing lanes. Miami’s improved transportation has made my mornings stress free as I am giving back to my community by being one less person in an empty car polluting the earth.
